Captain America Costume Photos Online

The outfit, seen below, is reportedly worn in these shots by a stuntman and not Chris Evans himself. The scene involves a motorbike chase between Steve Rogers and agents of H.Y.D.R.A., as pictured in the second image down. Universal Pictures Chairman Adam Fogelson and Co-Chairman Donna Langley—along with Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC Universal Television Entertainment and Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC & Universal Media Studios—today announced that Universal Pictures and NBC Universal Television Entertainment have acquired the rights to produce three films and a television series based on the seven epic novels, short stories and comic books from Stephen King’s The Dark Tower .

Ron Howard will direct the first film and the first season of television, which will be written by Akiva Goldsman. Martin Freeman may be at the very top of the list of potential Hobbit leads, according to a report at EW .

Freeman, best known for his performance as Tim on the original “The Office,” would play Bilbo Baggins, a humorless Hobbit unwittingly thrust into the life of an adventurer. Ian Holm portrayed Bilbo in the “Lord of the Rings” films, set decades after the events of The Hobbit .

Freeman reportedly turned down the role due to a previous commitment to the BBC series “Sherlock.” Now, EW claims that an offer has been made to Freeman that would work The Hobbit shooting into his schedule.

Though official details are still unannounced, progression on The Hobbit would seem to indicate that New Line/Warner Bros. and MGM are close to working out…

Ronald Reagan Biopic in the Works

The Hollywood Reporter says that the story of Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, is in development.

The $30 million movie, titled Reagan , is set for release late next year and will be based on two best-selling biographies by Paul Kengor: “The Crusader” and “God and Ronald Reagan.”

Mark Joseph, who optioned the books four years ago, is co-producing with Ralph Winter (“X-Men” films, Planet of the Apes ) and Jonas McCord ( Ray , Holes , The Pa*sion of The Christ ) wrote the script.

Reagan begins with the 1981 a*sa*sination attempt and tells Reagan’s story through flashbacks and flash-forwards.

A “Reagans” movie, starring James Brolin as the president, premiered on Showtime in November of 2003.

Michael Caine has joined the cast of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island , says a report at Heat Vision .

Caine will join Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson, who himself returns as Sean Anderson, his character from the first film. Caine will play Sean’s grandfather who, missing, leads Sean to team with his mother’s boyfriend (Johnson) and track him down. Though the film may begin with his character’s absence, Caine will, according to the original article, have a great deal of screen time, including a chase scene against giant bees.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is gearing up to begin production soon in Hawaii and North Carolina.

Liam Neeson Joins Battleship Cast

Liam Neeson has joined the cast of Universal’s Battleship , the Hasbro board game adaptation directed by Peter Berg.

The film also stars Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, Rihanna and Hamish Linklater

Neeson will play the Admiral Shane character alongside Kitsch, who portrays a Naval officer and Shane’s future son-in-law. Decker is playing Shane’s daughter. Skarsgard will play the brother to Kitsch’s character.

Battleship will unfold as a ma*sive Naval adventure across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.

Universal Pictures is scheduled to release the movie on May 18, 2012.

A little over a week ago, it was reported that Angelina Jolie had pa*sed a second time on the lead female role in Alfonso Cuaron’s planned 3D space survival thriller Gravity , which already had attached Robert Downey Jr. cast in a supporting role.
