Is it fair to punish a great artist like Polanski when Michael Jackson was forgiven for pedophilia?

You obviously don’t have any idea what you are talking about. MJ was not “forgiven”, he was acquitted because of lack of evidence. Polanski, on the other hand, plead guilty to a lesser charge (on a plea bargain) and fled the country before the judge could throw his pedophilic asss in prison.

I find it really sad that you believe that just because someone is “a great artist”, they they should get away with giving drugs & alcohol to a 13yr old girl and then rape her. You’re pathetic.

Roman Polanski chose the cowardly way out. He ran like a little puppy with his tail between his legs.

Personally, I feel that his own father stunted his emotional development when he was pressured as a child to perform. As an adult he looked for ways to regain that childhood, and I believe he really cared about children, and people took advantage of that, especially that boy who accused him of molestation and then later recanted that the father made him lie about it just for the money.

Can’t find Osama Bin-laden but thank goodness we got Polanski! Our priorities are seriously screwed up.

MJ was let off by the courts but the media killed his reputation through sanderous reports till his death and even now.
