Tonight’s The Night [Dexter Typography]

Visit www.andrewhawryluk.com for more of my videos! A demonstration of kinetic typography set to a track from the Dexter (Showtime) OST. All in all, the project probably took me about 2-3 weeks of real work, even though I started it about 3 months ago. For anyone that hasn’t seen Dexter – the sequence about 20 seconds in where he says “It’s going to happen again and again…” – in the show, Dexter collects slides containing the blood of those he kills. The image depicted around that time is a slide of blood. Just thought anyone that didn’t watch the show should know (to spice it up a bit more, heh) Many of the elements used in the video are from Andrew Kramer’s (of www.videocopilot.net) Riot Gear product. Anyone interested in motion graphics should visit his website for amazing tutorials and products. Trapcode’s Particular plug-in was also used in the making of this. The entire project was created inside of Adobe After Effects. Adobe Photoshop was used to fine-tune some of the graphics. Please leave comments and subscribe!
