Why is there no funny republican / conservative shows or personalities?

By

It seems all the funny TV shows and TV personalities seem to be liberal/democratic ish

I mean Family guy, Colbert Report, Bill Mayer ect…

In public media the republican / Conservative voices tend to yell a lot and try to scare people talking about the country being doomed or what not.
Like Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’reilly ect
Even when they controlled the the government, they still just tried to scare every one.

Other than “Larry the cable guy,” I can’t think of one popular comic or comedy show that is right wing…
Do you know any?
Job?
I’m a biochemist.
It could be argued that, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engel and Larry the Cable Guy aren’t funny.

Ron white is funny but he is pretty liberal for a southern comic.

Colbert is a conservative?

We don’t have TV shows because the radio works better for us. We have a large listening base because people listen to radio maybe going to some sort of JOB?

Paranoids don’t do funny.

It could be used against them.

You’ve never heard of Ron White, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engel and Larry the Cable Guy?

Republicans are not as easily amused as liberals.

There are plenty and conservatives think they are a hoot…BUT liberals seem to take them all too seriously and present them as “serious”. Although they, like the Daily Show and Bill Maher do present some serious topics…they are primarily funny.

Rush Limbaugh comes immediately to mind. His sense of humor and his jokes and faux commercials, song parodies, etc are a hoot. And his “Official Obama Criticizer….officially black enough to criticize” cracks me up. Brilliant. What a way to mock the race card players. I especially love it when he has him editorialize first in “ebonics” and then translating for those in “Rio Linda”. James Golden, as Bo Snerdly, the OOC is just hysterical

Glen Beck took his comedy tour on the road in June, billed as the “poor man’s Seinfeld”

Fox had the 1/2 Hour News Show, which was hilarious, but the liberals called “bullying”

“Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld” is also very funny, but liberals have already taken clips from it onto youtube claiming it as “serious” news……it’s supposed to be funny, you dolts.

I’ve found that liberals ONLY have a sense of humor if it isn’t directed towards them. It’s one of the reasons they are hating so hard on Mike Judge’s new show “The Goode Family”

Southpark is very Libertarian….love it.

I forgot about Dennis Miller; someone mentioned him below. Conservative funniness.

Colbert is ultra conservative, just not on the show.

7

Bill Maher isn’t funny
Family Guy gets less funny as it gets more liberal.

The South Park guys are conservative libertarians
Adam Sandler is a Republican
Dennis Miller
Jay Leno
Drew Carey

Not to mention all the rednecks on Blue Collar Comedy…

Liberal comedians tend to all make jokes about the same thing anyway. Colbert is a carbon copy of Jon Stewart

8

You forget about south park. Remember the talk from the dummycrats. “that show is brainwashing americas youth into right wing thinking”

9

As a general rule, hate mongers have no sense of humor.

Also, doinou is funny when she’s smoking on a black pole,

like a Newport.

God Bless

It is because media and the entertainment industry are predominantly liberal.

So conservative views are on the radio waves like Rush Limabugh (who is supposed to be funny) and Ann Coulter, who, whatever you think of her politics, is hilarious.

So the Dems want to stop that too by requiring a ‘fairness doctrine’ — but ONLY to radio….

I don’t listen to Rush or Coulter, but pretty regularly listen to Jon Stewert who I think is funny, despite disagreement with much of his politics. It would be great to have a conservative counterpoint — good suggestion.

Kelsey Grammer…

Read Colbert’s actual serious stuff. The guys a super liberal who makes fun parodying republicans. Apparently some of you are so dumb you can’t understand when you’re being made fun of.

13

Conservatives tend to have a smaller sense of humor.

On the other hand, they seem to have a better sense of hypocrisy.

14

I dunno… Glenn Beck’s wild-eyed rants are usually pretty funny.

15

I would think more comedians tend to be Libertarian, then Democrat. If you just bash one side then it become’s propaganda.. Comedian Mort Sahl took on both sides and was black listed by Dems.

16

Many conservatives seem to have no sense of humor. Would you if you were convinced that everyone outside your party was out to get you?

17

Because they all to to get real jobs and pay all the taxes so the liberals can all have their free stuff. Someone has to pay all those public arts grants. We all can’t be dope smoking hippies, someone has to work and keep the economy going.

18

Because by and large, the media has been controlled by the left.

is a good alternative news source- but it’s not TV.

Chuck Norris is a conservative… sometimes he’s funny. :-)

Too bad Ben Franklin isn’t around. I bet he could have hosted one heck of a show.

19

Because the Republican shows are adult and the liberal shows are for stupid immature dolts.

20

don’t forget al franken and msnbc’s political team. basically liberal media is in itself a joke… biggest reason why conservative shows tend to bring in bigger sponsors generally do financially better and more properous

21

Actually I find FOX News VERY funny.

22

There are several very funny Republican/conservative shows and personalities. The difference is that they are not intentionally so.

23

I think ALL the conservative talk/radio shows are HILARIOUS!!! Maybe not intentionally so, but, nonetheless….

Sarah Palin is pretty f**king funny, oh

25

Dennis Miller – Comedian/Actor has his own radio show and is conservative. Other than talk radio and fox news, most entertainment sources are controlled by the left.

This is because the left appeals to the weak minded and unintelligent. The uninformed youth of America will follow whatever they think is funny and trendy. They usually don’t know what is going on in politics or how an economy works, but they will vote for the guy funny people tell them to vote for.

That’s the new America for you!

In my opinion, there are not many republican comedians out there because the republican party has been isolating itself from a large number of those that agree with their major principles. I think Fox News has been adding to this problem in the past few years by sensationalizing all issues for ratings and propaganda. I wish they would begin reporting again instead of having opinion shows. They should have left that to Jerry Springer and the like. I think by aligning themselves with such a small group of people, they have reduced the number of people that would normally associate themselves with the republican party.

To be fair, MSNBC has become the Fox News opposite and other news channels have similar opinion shows creeping onto the scene, probably to try and achieve Fox’s ratings. It’s killing journalism and dividing America.
