New Upcoming Movie Bad Boys 4 Trailer

The official trailer for ‘Bad Boys 4’ has just dropped, and it’s packed with all the adrenaline-pumping action you’d expect from this iconic franchise. The trailer kicks off with our favourite duo, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, back on the sun-soaked streets of Miami. And right off the bat, we can tell that ‘Bad Boys 4’, officially subtitled ‘Ride or Die’, is going to be a wild ride. We see high-speed chases, intense shootouts, and the kind of explosive set pieces that have become a hallmark of the series. But it’s not just about the action; the trailer promises plenty of humor too, with the chemistry and witty banter between Smith and Lawrence taking center stage.

The plot this time around seems to revolve around our heroes trying to clear their boss’s name. Framed for corruption and working with the cartel, it looks like the Bad Boys will have to go above and beyond to prove their innocence. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who brought us ‘Bad Boys for Life’, this sequel is set to hit theaters on June 7th. And if the trailer is anything to go by, ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ is going to be one of the must-see movies of the summer.

New Upcoming Movie Megalopolis is the brainchild of Francis Ford Coppola, the legendary director behind classics like “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now” Despite his illustrious career, Coppola hasn’t had a major hit in decades. Now, at the age of 85, he’s finally brought his long-gestating passion project to life by financing it himself after selling his winery.

“Megalopolis” is an ambitious and costly indie film, with a reported budget of over $100 million. The story centers on a futuristic city called Megal and an architect named Adam Driver, who envisions a utopian future for the city. Standing in his way is the mayor, played by Giancarlo Esposito, who has a more practical and populist approach to the city’s future. The film grapples with the tension between idealism and realism, questioning whether a utopia is achievable.

From my perspective, “Megalopolis” is a mixed bag. The film is undeniably bold and ambitious, with some scenes that are visually stunning and thought-provoking. However, it also feels disjointed and incomplete, as if it needed more editing or another take. The pacing is erratic, and certain scenes don’t quite land the way they should. Despite these issues, I still think it’s worth watching, especially for those curious about Coppola’s vision and the spectacle of such an expensive indie film.

One of the biggest challenges with “Megalopolis” is its uneven execution. Some scenes feel like they belong in different movies, with performances that don’t always mesh well. Adam Driver does his best with the material, bringing his trademark intensity and quirkiness to the role. Aubrey Plaza stands out as well, adding a layer of camp to her scenes that makes them memorable and entertaining.

First official image released for the upcoming sci-fi film "Megalopolis," directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

Ultimately, “Megalopolis” feels like a collection of high ideas that don’t fully coalesce into a satisfying whole. It raises interesting questions about society, power, and idealism, but it doesn’t delve deeply enough into these themes to provide any meaningful answers. The film’s ending, in particular, feels contrived and lacking in substance.

If you’re a fan of ambitious cinema and don’t mind a bit of a mess, “Megalopolis” is worth a look. It’s a fascinating experiment from one of America’s greatest directors, even if it doesn’t entirely succeed. Just be prepared for a film that’s as likely to frustrate as it is to intrigue.

Furiosa is the latest installment in the Mad Max franchise. Unlike its predecessor, “Fury Road,” which was essentially one long chase scene, “Furiosa” is a saga that spans many years and delves into the backstory of the titular character.

Let’s start with the action filmmaking, which is absolutely stunning. The practical effects are back in full force, with jaw-dropping set pieces that will leave fans of “Fury Road” more than satisfied. There’s a dedication to practical filmmaking that pays off in scenes that are truly immersive and exhilarating.

While some CGI is unavoidable given the scale of the film, the practical elements shine brightest, making the CGI-heavy scenes feel less compelling by comparison. Overall, though, the action alone is worth the price of admission, and it’s clear that a lot of time and effort went into crafting these sequences.

As for the story, “Furiosa” is a more conventional film than “Fury Road,” with a clear arc and a focus on revenge. The rivalry between Furiosa and Chris Hemsworth’s character, Dementus, plays out like a classic Western, adding depth to the character of Furiosa and giving her a chance to shine.

That said, the character development feels a bit lacking, especially in comparison to the rich world-building and attention to detail seen in the production design, costumes, and makeup. Anya Taylor-Joy delivers a standout performance, while Hemsworth brings charisma to his role, though the character depth is somewhat lacking.

In terms of awards potential, “Furiosa” is likely to score nominations for visual effects, sound, and makeup, thanks to its stunning practical effects and immersive sound design. Costumes are also a strong contender, though without a Best Picture nomination, other technical categories like cinematography and production design may be less likely.

Overall, “Furiosa” is a worthy addition to the Mad Max franchise, with breathtaking action and stunning visuals. While it may not reach the heights of “Fury Road” it’s still a thrilling ride that fans of the series won’t want to miss.

New Upcoming movie Horizon: An American Saga trailer out now. The trailer starts with a monologue by Danny Houston’s character saying the following: “You and I are standing guard on one of the last great open spaces. These people think if you’re tough enough, smart enough, and mean enough, all this will be theirs someday. There’s no army on this Earth that’s going to stop those wagons coming, little as they’re wanted.” In the meantime, we see hundreds of wagons moving toward a wasteland. If you know anything about American history, you probably know what those wagons are about to do—they’re about to settle in the wide West of America and lay down the foundations of today’s American society.

As a history nerd, I love this. I mean, I really love this. Personally, I wouldn’t get tired of hearing this story over and over again: seeing Europeans migrating to America in the most difficult conditions and all the good and bad that followed. That being said, I couldn’t help but notice the overwhelming similarities between Horizon and the first-ever Yellowstone prequel, 1883. In fact, the next scene in the trailer, during which Luke Wilson’s character is assisting a woman in crossing a river, basically gave me déjà vu, like I watched this exact scene somewhere else. And yes, that somewhere else is none other than 1883 itself. “All I’m trying to do is get as many of us as I can as far as I can,” says Wilson’s character in the scene. It’s a great line, for sure, but did we really have to get a scene that is this similar to the ones in 1883? Don’t we have any other ways to tell the difficulties of early European migrants in America? I found this choice quite suspicious, to be honest, and even a little bit petty. Previously, I’ve mentioned to you guys my suspicions over Costner’s usage of the Horizon project to basically launch a war against Taylor Sheridan. Well, this trailer only confirmed my suspicions.

While the Europeans migrate to America, the Native Americans are ready to defend their land and protect their lifestyle. Throughout the trailer, we see them supporting each other, observing the ongoing demographic change from afar, and at times clashing with the newcomers. To be honest, from these scenes alone, I can’t pinpoint how Costner will exactly handle the issue in the movie. That being said, it seems like Costner put an emphasis and care into properly casting the indigenous roles, which is something I highly appreciate. Thus, I feel like some good representation for the indigenous community might be on its way, which would be great.

I know many of you guys have been wondering about the involvement of Sienna Miller in the series. Well, the trailer shows that she’s a widowed mom of two children. She loses her son in a home invasion and is left alone with her daughter, which starts her journey. It’s not clear when exactly her story will cross paths with Costner’s character, if ever. In fact, after watching the trailer, I started to suspect that this movie will only set up multiple different storylines with none of them merging together, and then in the upcoming movies, we’ll see how these stories will align and everything makes sense. At one point in the trailer, we see a flyer that advertises Horizon, defining it as the richest land with pure and abundant water. I’m assuming that it refers to the town of Horizon City in Texas today, but correct me if I’m wrong. So, we will probably discover the misleading hope that Horizon presented at the time and how things have changed over the past 200 years in the region.

Up until this point, the trailer was perfect in my opinion—an epic Western story that we have all been craving since the success of Yellowstone. Unfortunately, though, I have one criticism over Costner’s character and his supposed love interest. First of all, Costner dyes his hair and mustache to a dark gray in the movie, which is fine, I guess, but it’s clear that he’s attempting to pass as his younger self rather than the 69-year-old man that he is today. I wouldn’t have any issues with this whatsoever if I didn’t see him being with a woman who’s basically 30 years younger than him. His love interest in Horizon is Abby Lee, who’s 36 years old. I mean, come on, you guys. I know some of you hate to see Costner being criticized, but I have to be objective here. This is not normal, nor should it be normalized. Not going to lie, it gave me the biggest ick, and I don’t see why Costner would make such an absurd casting choice for his love interest. I sense major John Wayne vibes, which is great when it comes to westerns but horrible when it comes to the actresses that he chooses to act with.

At the end of the movie, Jamie Campbell Bower’s character refers to Costner’s character as a bad man. Perhaps Costner’s character will actually be a bad man, which would explain all these interesting choices. But as a longtime Costner fan, I know for sure that he would not write himself a role that would tarnish his reputation. So yeah, I doubt he’s actually a bad man. But what do you think? Did you enjoy the new trailer for Horizon? Which parts did you like? Which parts did you hate?
