It’s great for World War II and history buffs and does a good job of capturing the tension and moral complexities of resistance efforts against the Nazi occupation. It’s an intense action movie that isn’t afraid to get emotional as well, showing the brutal realities of war and the tough moral choices faced by soldiers. Number 4: Fury. let’s  Discuss about a divisive movie. Fury is about a battle-hardened tank crew, led by a tough sergeant, that fights their way through Nazi Germany during the final days of World War II. According to IMDb ratings and Rotten Tomatoes scores, this is either a dumb, unrealistic war movie that’s pure Hollywood or it’s a highly enjoyable, modern masterpiece. I guess, I fall somewhere in the middle. I remember it being a gritty and intense war film, but ultimately it was kind of forgettable. And I haven’t found myself wanting to rewatch it like all my favourite war films. I don’t know. Let me know what you think. Lone Survivor follows a Navy SEAL team on a mission to capture a high-ranking Taliban leader who faces overwhelming odds in the mountains of Afghanistan. It is an intense portrayal of bravery and brotherhood under fire, and it is full of intense and powerful combat scenes. Mark Wahlberg is also great as the lead, and overall, Lone Survivor is a realistic depiction of the SEALs’ ordeal and an emotional tribute to their sacrifice.
